Tish is from Mbuji Mayi in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She went to Roxbury Community College for a degree in nursing, then to Salem State for a BSN and to the University of New Hampshire for an MSN in their Family Nurse Practitioner Program, graduating summa cum laude. She worked at Spaulding, Kindred and Union Hospitals, as an instructor at Roxbury CC and is currently at PACE-Element Care in Lynn. Tish has cross-cultural skills and a passion for supporting patients and their families.

Bawa Wavezwa

Treasurer

Bawa worked in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Ministry of Labor & Social Services before moving to Lynn in 1973. He obtained BS/BA degrees from Salem State College, an MBA in finance from Suffolk University and a Masters in International Administration from the School for International Training. He taught at Roxbury Community College. At Mass. Department of Environmental Protection for 33 years, he is the Director of Fiscal Manage-ment. He lives in the Highlands with wife Tish.
